The topic I chose is “marijuana should be legalized.” This is a big issue in America because there is research that proves it can be medically beneficial to consume marijuana. There are things we consume daily that are much unhealthier for us than marijuana that are legal. It affects the public, and people who need it medically and recreationally. I do not consume marijuana personally but I empathize for the community. Depending on who you talk to you will get mixed feedback about marijuana. To this day there is no credible evidence that marijuana is unhealthier than legal stimulants like cigarettes and alcohol. I chose this topic because it is a topic that isn’t very controversial, it seems like most people and research are on the same side. Why isn’t it legal then?
